Curriculum vitae
I have studied at universities in Paris, France (culture and language of France), Berlin, Germany (law) and Krems, Austria (MBA). I was admitted to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in Berlin in 1997 and, following my relocation to southern Germany, in Tübingen in 2006. I have worked in corporate legal departments, insolvency and tax consultancy firms, established and developed a controlling department in BASF AG's Printing Systems Division and have assisted a team of management consultants with the preparation of profitability forecasts for major investments.
Over the last 16 years I have primarily been engaged in building up the legal department of Flint Group, an international, global leader in the printing supplies industry (sales of €2.2 billion, around 6,500 employees in 2015, over 140 locations worldwide), where I was head of department alongside my function as managing director in the Group's biggest company in Germany. I have taken on managing directorships and held board posts in Group companies, primarily in Europe. In Flint Group I was a permanent member of the Risk & Compliance Committee, which set up a comprehensive risk reporting and compliance programme.
Owing to the growth of the company group, which originated with the merger in 2004 of BASF Printing Systems and ANI Printing Inks, an Akzo Nobel management buy out, I was responsible over a period of ten years for the acquisition and disposal of company groups and for setting up international joint ventures. I also supported numerous divestment projects of the private equity owner CVC Capital Partners which led, in 2014, to the sale of Flint Group to Goldman Sachs / Koch Industries, Inc..
